We pride ourselves in knowing that each student is unique and we must understand their individual personality, learning style and dance training goals, so they can train and grow into the very best dancer they strive to be.
Our instructors are dedicated skilled professionals and love sharing their knowledge and passion for dance with their students. We offer a variety of courses for different age groups and provide dance instruction for ballet, jazz, and tap.
Our air conditioned dance studio provides an upper and lower studio with a total dance space of 2500 square feet—the latest in audio equipment, fully mirrored walls and ample parking. Here, we have it all!
Our Teachers

Melissa Gordon
Miss Melissa is a 5th grade teacher for Brockton Public Schools and has been teaching dance at DBDS for 3 years. She practiced ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe at Denise's for 16 years and during that time she competed with the DBDS dance team for 3 years. During high school Melissa was the dance captain and choreographer for the half time dancers and musical, Bye Bye Birdie. She completed the Boston Dance Teacher Training Course during the summers. Mel loves practicing yoga, cooking, going to the beach, traveling, and dancing of course!
Ryan Lynn Cheatham
Ryan Cheatham is a 2015 graduate of Bridgewater State University with a bachelors degree in media communications and a minor in dance. She has studied dance since she was 3 at Denise Buote Dance Studio. Ryan has danced with America's Best Dance Crew season 3 contestants Phunk Phenomenon as well as BSU's hip hop team Kinetic Edge. She has choreographed for BSU's winter dance and is excited to be back at Denise Buote's teaching hip hop.
Nicole Casarez
Miss Nicole is a DBDS Alum (Class of 2001)! She has been an instructor at the dance studio since September 2001 and enjoys teaching tap, ballet and jazz.. She graduated from Bridgewater State College in January 2006 with a B.A. in English and B.S. in Elementary Education.
Sarah Galvin
Miss Sarah had been a Denise Buote dancer since 2003 and began teaching at the studio in 2019. She studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pointe. Miss Sarah has volunteered countless hours at the studio assisting with the same teachers she works with today. Sarah is currently studying Math and Education at Bridgewater State University with hopes to become a high school math teacher!

Our classes are divided according to age and training level, and we can meet the needs of young dancers of any age with our beginner through advanced level classes. The environment in our classes is energetic, positive, welcoming and high energy. We love to dance, and we want to share that passion with you.
